The Baldwin

The Baldwin, located on the corner of 13th Avenue and East Fir St, was completely renovated by the Seattle Housing Authority, which turned an older brick building of smaller studio apartments into 15 modernized one-bedroom apartments. The renovated Baldwin reopened in 2014, filling quickly with returning Yesler residents.

 

 

 

 

Hinoki

Hinoki is located at 110 10th Ave S at the corner of E Yesler Way and 10th Ave. S.  This new 7 story building located directly across the street from the Yesler Terrace Community Center and Park.  Hinoki features two-story townhouse units and flats consisting of 1, 2, 3- and 4-bedroom units.  Three units are set up to support in-home day care businesses.

Hoa Mai Gardens

Hoa Mai Gardens, completed in summer 2017, is located adjacent to the Yesler Community Center, Yesler Hillclimb and the central neighborhood Yesler Terrace Park. In recognition of its location at the top of the Hillclimb connecting Yesler with the Little Saigon neighborhood, the building was named for a flower symbolic in many Southeast Asian cultures.

Hoa Mai Gardens accommodates a broad range of households – from individuals to families with children. Most units have views of the city, Elliott Bay, the Olympic Mountains and Mt. Rainier.

Kebero Court

Kebero Court was the first new residential building to open as part of SHA’s Yesler Terrace redevelopment. It was completed in April of 2015 and that month began welcoming current and returning Yesler residents, along with residents new to the community. Kebero Court was named for a style of drum important to cultural traditions in East Africa, reflecting the heritage of many who call Kebero Court home or who live and work in the surrounding neighborhood.

Kebero Court was designed to accommodate individuals and a range of family sizes. The apartments suited for large families have their own private entries, allowing easy access to the outdoors and the playground for children. The courtyard located in the interior of the building complex includes beautiful landscaping, pedestrian walkways, low-wall seating and outdoor lighting. All apartments at Kebero Court have outlooks to the courtyard or surrounding neighborhood, and many feature views of south Seattle and Mt. Rainier.

Raven Terrace

Raven Terrace, the second new residential building to open as part of SHA’s redevelopment of Yesler Terrace, was completed in December of 2015. It was named for a bird symbolic in many cultures and the symbol of “storyteller” in the Duwamish Tribe.

The courtyard located in the interior of the Raven Terrace complex includes beautiful landscaping, pedestrian walkways, sculptured bench seating and outdoor lighting. All apartments at Raven Terrace have outlooks to the courtyard or surrounding neighborhood, and many units feature views of Elliott Bay and Mt. Rainier.

Red Cedar is located at 808 Fir St - intersection of 8th Avenue, 9th Avenue, and Fir Street, across from the Epstein Opportunity Center. Red Cedar will accommodate a broad range of households – from individuals to families with children.
