2017 Moving To Work (MTW) Plan and Budget

Seattle Housing's 2017 Annual Plan and Budget

The Seattle Housing Authority is one of 39 housing authorities across the country participating in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Moving to Work program, which allows the agency to test innovative methods to improve housing services and to better meet local needs. As a participant in MTW, Seattle Housing Authority may also propose and implement alternatives to federal regulations for certain issues spelled out in an agreement between HUD and the agency.

Each year the agency adopts a plan that describes activities planned for the following year. At the end of the year, the agency prepares a report describing its accomplishments. In the annual plan for 2017, Seattle Housing Authority has identified several objectives. The Plan Summary highlights key activities for 2017, which are described further in the complete plan.

Seattle Housing Authority submitted the MTW Annual Plan to HUD on October 17, 2016 and received HUD approval on February 8, 2017.
