2016 Draft Budget and Annual Plan Available for Comment

The Seattle Housing Authority is one of 35 housing authorities across the country participating in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Moving to Work program, which allows the agency to test innovative methods to improve housing services and to better meet local needs. As a participant in MTW, Seattle Housing may also propose and implement alternatives to federal regulations for certain issues spelled out in an agreement between HUD and the agency.

Each year the agency adopts a plan that describes activities planned for the following year. At the end of the year, the agency prepares a report describing its accomplishments.  The draft 2016 Plan is available for review and comment by residents and the general public.

In October, staff will inform the Board of Commissioners of the comments received and will take those comments into consideration.
