Residents, partners, and community members are invited to comment on the Seattle Housing Authority’s updated subsidized housing dwelling lease, which is scheduled to be implemented in late 2024 for residents in Low Income Public Housing (LIPH), Seattle Senior Housing Program (SSHP), and Streamlined Low Income Housing Program (SLIPH) units.  

The lease draft will be open for comment from April 1, 2024 through May 1, 2024. 

Changes to the lease include: 

• Updates stemming from changes to federal policy, including the Housing Opportunities Through Modernization Act of 2016 
• New or clarified policies to maintain the availability of accessible units and to facilitate repairs for severely damaged units 
• New policy around electric vehicle parking 
• Non-substantive edits for clarity
